Meet our latest success story: LandID
By: Brendan Hennessy / January 12, 2014
Here at LaunchPad Lab we’ve thawed out from ChiBeria, filled with excitement about the future. As we look forward to many new opportunities to help you, we’re showcasing one of our latest successful clients that we partnered with to build a product and grow their business.
In 2013, we teamed up with another great client to build an iPhone app called LandID. LandID is a mobile platform designed to capture the images and stories of physical locations that shape your life.
When we kicked off this project, our team of developers and designers focused on defining the product’s core essence. Our product discovery evolved through a review of existing photo apps and blogging platforms to find our unique message to shape and craft this product. At the core, this product aims to truly capture the meaningful moments of your life. Using geo-coordinates, timestamps and pictures, we can create a digital time capsule of a moment in your life.
With this clear product objective in hand, the path to product development and launch proved more focused. We established our branding and style for the product through an identity package of logos, style guides and clickable prototypes. Interactions and navigation throughout an iPhone app are critical. We used Flinto to rapidly iterate and fine tune our design and product flow.
In conjunction with the design, our developers brought this native iPhone app to life. TestFlight proved crucial for us to showcase the app to a group of beta testers to ensure the product stayed true to its objective. At the end of the development cycle, we pushed the app live to the App Store to introduce LandID to the world. Here’s a couple of quick screenshots of the inner-workings of the app:
So where are we now? This app is just getting started. As more users download the app, we’re delivering impactful tools to our client to market and grow downloads and posts for LandID. The success we’ve seen early-on testifies to our mutual partnership with our client.
LandID is still in its early stages with a lot of potential to be realized in the new year. Seeing our clients succeed is why we do this.
We are excited to build upon our success with LandID by applying our sharpened skills to your idea. Reach out to us and let’s get started. Will you be the next success story?
